Forest Stay Details.
Jhirna sits on the southern side of Corbett Tiger Reserve. Deciduous woodland, secondary forest and open grasslands form a varied landscape, offering a different atmosphere from Dhikala’s expansive river-valley views.
Visits use Dhela Gate, and overnight accommodation is associated with Jhirna Forest Rest House. A forest rest house offers a simpler stay than a resort outside the reserve. Room allocation, bedding, food arrangements and transfers should be checked for your specific reservation.
Sloth bears, elephants and other wildlife occur in the zone. Guided jeep outings follow approved routes and operating instructions. Listen, look patiently and allow the forest to set expectations: no particular animal can be guaranteed.
Jhirna day visits are described as available year-round when roads and weather permit, but this does not mean night accommodation is available throughout the year. The current published reserve night-stay schedule is seasonal. Confirm your overnight permit, arrival reporting instructions and visitor rules before making onward plans.
